Pennsylvania as a whole and Philadelphia in particular are interesting places. There’s a lot of history, a lot of things that have happened that are well-known, but there’s also the obscure, the weird. There’s also a lot of potential for weird things to happen. It’s no wonder that George A. Romero set his Living Dead movies in Pennsylvania.
This is a blog about the weird and the potentially-weird in Philadelphia. The nooks and crannies, the secret tunnels, the deep shadows. It’s about what inspires me to write and some of the craft and theory behind that.
Much of what is written in this blog can apply equally well to other cities, but I’m most familiar with Philadelphia, having lived there for most of my life.
